Finnish university conducts research with flexible machine from GKS Packaging
The Technical University of Lappeenranta (LUT) in Finland recently bought a GKS-Compack CP350 Plus vertical form fill and seal machine for their laboratory. The Packaging Technology research group conducts research into sustainable packaging solutions, among other things.
The CP350 from GKS Packaging is an addition to the modern research and education environment of LUT. “We use the machine for research purposes and therefore wanted to invest in a flexible machine with many different options,” says Ville Leminen, professor of Packaging Technology at LUT.
Due to its low height and small footprint, the machine is very versatile, both in small production areas and in industrial environments. In addition to working with various weighing and dosing systems, the CP350 Plus is also very suitable for manual filling and then automatic packaging.
With many different options, bag sizes (75 to 350 mm bag width and unlimited bag length) and a capacity of up to 40 bags per minute, this machine can be used in a wide variety of packaging situations. In the standard configuration, the CP350 Plus produces so-called pillow bags, but optionally the machine can also produce standing bags.
